Emily Testut
Themed Experience Designer
I am Emily Testut, a Mechanical Engineering major with a passion for designing themed experiences, graduating from the University of Central Florida (UCF) May 2025. In addition to being a dedicated member of the Burnett Honors College and a nominee for the Order of Pegasus, I have effectively merged my technical skills with a minor in Digital Media Game Design and Computer Science. In 2021, I joined the Themed Entertainment Association at UCF, where my team and I earned first place in the internal Theme Park Land Design Competition. This success propelled me to compete in the Toronto Metropolitan Thrill Design Competition, where I not only participated in 2022 but also served as a team lead in 2023.
My journey extends beyond academics through an internships with Universal Creative in 2024, where I was an Interactive Media Design intern for Super Nintendo World, and 2023, focusing on show systems and pyrotechnic and flame effects. This hands-on experience fueled my passion, leading me to become the President of the Themed Entertainment Association at UCF for the 2024-2025 academic year. I initiated and hosted the annual Land Design Competition in 2024, where members of the organization have the opportunity to learn more about themed entertainment while receiving feedback from industry professionals. With a rich blend of technical expertise and creative flair, I am passionate to redefine the boundaries of themed entertainment and contribute to immersive experiences that captivate and inspire.
